Spectrophotometric Determination of Micro Antimony with the System Antimony-Potassium Iodide-Salicyl Fluorone-Emulsifying Agent after Hydride Separation
A method which combines the separation technology and the formation of multicomponent complex has been drawn up for the determination of Sb in aqueous phase without organic solvent.Antimony could be separated as hydride from matrix elements in bulk.The complex turned orange in the medium of 0.25N to 0.38N HCl and had the maximum absorptivity at 510nm, the molar absorptivity is 7.1×104L·mol-1·cm-1.The content of antimony (0 to 15μg/10ml) adhered to Beer's law.The interferences were eliminated with a suitable masking agent and a specific absorbent.The complex would remain stable for three hours at room temperature.This method can be used directly to determine micro antimony in rock and soil in aqueous phase.
